The Socio-economic Response and Recovery Plan is focused on supporting the Government of the Republic of Moldova to tackle the health emergency as well, to address the social and economic impact of the pandemic, and to contribute to the principle of leaving no one behind (LNOB). It is also intended to reduce the country’s vulnerability to the pandemic, enabling a transparent, human-rights-compliant, gender-sensitive and effective recovery process.
The COVID-19 pandemic is a public health, socio-economic, political, human rights and mobility crisis that has resulted in nearly 147871 cases in Moldova (Jan 2021). The COVID -19 related measures have impacted negatively in the livelihoods of many Moldovans living in the country and abroad. It has largely impacted negatively in the access to public services.
